Furlough Travels & Schedule
I have been in the US for four months now, visiting family and friends, sharing about the ministries in Uganda with church groups. As I have talked on the phone with friends and coworkers in Uganda, I've rejoiced, seeing the work carrying on, the births of many new believers into the family of Jesus, and the birth of a new son into the family of Pastor David and Kate Kasule.
The biggest concern for prayer for Uganda is the national elections on February 18. A year and more ago, the political condition of Uganda was so precarious we even pondered if there might be a civil war. However, many have been praying, and last spring there was even a National Day of Prayer established by the President. As a result, there was much political repentance, and peace has reigned in the nation But there is always pre-election nervousness, as police and military presence are boosted for increased security. So please continue to uphold Uganda during the coming weeks, and especially the days of the election and those immediately following.
Every time you see news on TV about the violence in Egypt, be reminded to pray for the peace of Uganda.
I am looking to return to Uganda probably in mid-April. In the meantime, I am traveling to the several states listed above, and I am available for speaking engagements and personal visits. To schedule any engagement, or to support this ministry, see my contact information below:
