My On-going House Project

In the rural village area where I live there are no rental houses, unless you want one room with a dirt floor. I moved into my house in January 2003, and lived in 2 rooms of it for 6 years. It is the African way to live in part of the house while you work on the rest of it, to gradually finish it as you get money to do so. When I moved in, there was a temporary roof over the 2 rooms I was using. In November 2006 I was able to put the complete roof and porches on the house. As of September 2009 I moved into the remainder of the 2 bedroom house after installing the 3 outside doors. Then God provided a housefull of furniture when a missionary friend left Uganda. I grow most of my own food and coffee as well.
